- A Sonic electric toothbrush
This cleaning action is founded on the intense speed at which the bristles of the sonic toothbrush vibrate. This vibratory motion is able to impart energy to the fluids that surround teeth (such as saliva). Tips
- Floss before brushing

- OR a good medium bristle toothbrush (Colgate 360); brush top teeth down & lower teeth up.
- Brush inside surfaces of teeth same way
- Brush along the flat chewing/ biting surfaces
- Pass brush between gum & cheek also massage gums all over
- Brush tongue
- Toilet lid should be closed when flushing and when not in use.
- Toothbrush should be covered and stored at least 4 feet away from toilet
- Look at your toothbrush from behind. When you can see bristles sticking out the sides it’s time to get a new one.

Avoid anything that can scratch/ damage your enamel.

Avoid candy that remains in the mouth long (lolly pops, sweets etc). The sugar turns into acid which attacks the enamel. So with sweets that you suck, the acid stays around longer to do more damage. On the other hand cake & ice-cream for example, are quickly swallowed – generally no problem.
