Small dark line on top of tooth/gum line…What is it?? ?

Greetings! Here is a tongue scraper question I found when I was looking at Yahoo.
I have recently noticed a small thin line on my front two teeth on the top of them/gum line. It’s been there a few months I think. I’m worried as to what it is? I brush my teeth twice a day although sometimes I forget to at night.. I also drink a lot of coke and consume a lot of sugary food/drink. It’s only on two teeth, is this what’s causing it?
This tongue scraper question was exactly what was on my mind. The answers helped with my problem. I am glad the original poster shared.
Have a happy day!

Yes, the plaque left on your teeth at your gum-line has eroded the enamel completely from the area of the tooth where it meets the gum line. You have lost your enamel at a very important place on the tooth. That enamel did its best to protect the base of your tooth where plaque is hardest to remove. The solutions are expensive: bonding the tooth – check with a dentist or an oral surgeon about this. Gum tissue may need to be removed. If the problem of tooth decay on that tooth reaches the root of the tooth you will notice terrible pain and the tooth will need to be extracted. Check with a dentist soon. To protect our teeth, please, everyone – we each MUST brush and floss after meals, especially after the last evening meal or snack. Then avoid all food, no more acidic items, no more sweet items, no more snacks. Drink only water, to leave your teeth clean until the next day. Enamel is attacked by acids from foods such as oranges and even bananas so brush and rinse or floss soon after putting sugary beverages, candy, or fruit into your mouth.

It could be gingivitis. You should ask your dentist next time you go. Also make sure you are flossing once a day.
